THE WESTERN BALKANS region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo*, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia) is an emerging start-up destination abundant with young, dynamic and entrepreneurial teams.
The region is already attracting a large number of foreign investors, and this is set to grow as acceleration and investment readiness programs boost the potential of local talent.
Start-up Investment Readiness Program
To ensure that start-ups are ready for investors, the EU funded ‘EU4TECH WB’ project, is taking a group of selected startups through intensive investment readiness training.
The program is being delivered by experienced mentors with track record in start-up development, business growth and exit.
Investment readiness program coaches 35 startups from the Western Balkans, coming from the areas of ICT, Energy, Education, Agritech, Hardware and Health. Participants are a mix of early stage, running operations and scale-up companies.

The Investment Forum will take place in Metropol Palace Hotel Belgrade on 25th April 2018.
This is a great opportunity for you to come and assess the start-up scene in the Western Balkans, as well as to meet numerous other start-ups and innovative companies from the region and surrounding countries.
Investors will have the opportunity to register and to book f2f meeting with the individual start-ups during the afternoon sessions.
