The Proof of Concept for the Western Balkans project announced the launch of the 2020 open call for projects on April 21, 2020

The Proof of Concept for the Western Balkans project announced the launch of the 2020 open call for projects on 21st of April. The launch was made remotely through an online Zoom Webinar and live streamed through Facebook. 150 people registered from across the WB6 and the EU on the Zoom platform and more than 250 viewed the launch live on Facebook! Attendees were introduced to the EU4TECH PoC WB Technical Assistance (TA) project that will offer hands-on support to 40+ Proof of Concept (PoC) projects to help move them closer to the market.

Panelists were Lisa Cowey, Team Leader, Iztok Lesjak Early Stage Investment Expert, Davorka Moslavac Forjan – Technology Transfer Expert and Elena Andonova and Stoyan Kaymakchiski from the Join Research Center of the European Commission.

Policy Officer, Elena Andonova – outlined JRC mission and activities, including in the WB6 region, and EU4TECH PoC action and implementation expectations.

The EU4TECH PoC team explained in detail what the project will offer, the 6 technical assistance components the team will provide and, most importantly, how to apply to the open call, eligibility criteria, target PoC project profiles and the evaluation process.
